A Personalized Stairlift For The Senior Bulldog

A Personalized Stairlift For The Senior Bulldog

Chad Schulte August 3, 2020

When the invention of stairlifts has trended, many people, especially the elderly, experienced its comfort. Like humans, dogs also experience difficulty in moving around as they age. And now, finally, stairlifts can be made available too for senior dogs! Just like Hank, a senior Bulldog who has his very own stairlift to aid him in going up or down the house.

Brandon Raper adopted Hank way back in 2012. Hank was a homeless pup back then who only stays anywhere else. Brandon didn’t know how old Hank was.

As years pass by, Hank had a rare heart condition, probably because of his old age. He had a hard time getting himself up and down the stairs, so his person decided to personalize a stairlift just for Hank, the senior bully.

Climbing up and down the stairs require to exert great effort. This kind of strenuous movement could get Hank in danger since he has a heart condition. He shouldn’t be tired in doing such movements, for this may cause another medical condition.

Hank’s stairlift is very functional and decorative. It’s got a door that closes and keeps him safe as it goes up or down the staircase. Once the journey is done, his person can now open the door for him to get out. His caring family shows an obvious unconditional love for Hank.

As people noticed when they watched the video of Hank riding his adorable stairlift, Hank’s cute expression made their hearts happy. Many of them shared their experiences with their own senior doggos. As a netizen explained, they built a wooden stair-like platform beside their bed so that it would be easy for their pup to go up to their bed when it feels sleepy or tired.

Someone also said that they maid a special soft ramp so that their dog will be comfortable in going up or down their bed. The ramp can also be used when the dog would enter their car. Things would be easier for their fur buddy.

Dog lovers would do everything and anything for their beloved pups. Giving them a comfortable and well-provided life is what they deserve for giving us, unconditional doggie love. Have you also did something like Hank’s family did for him?
