According to Casi Cook, her dog Holly loved cash even when she was just a small pup. She doesn’t know why; maybe its the smell or the texture of the paper. Nevertheless, they would catch Holly getting some money from their purse and wallets. Fearing that she would eat the bills or destroy it, they would offer her treats to give them the money back.
Soon enough, Holly has learned that money allows her to “buy” treats for herself. Casi thinks that it started out with Holly’s curiosity, like with most puppies. She would rummage around sniffing and biting everything. She would have an interest in most anything, but with cash, she had a bit more attraction.
Eventually, Holly figured out that the more money she had, the more treats she could purchase. She ramped up her “thieving” and has even created her own stash. She has a special place in their house where she keeps her loot. She would then take a bill from her pile whenever she feels like having a snack.
Her owners would be sitting on their couch, and Holly would come over with a dollar bill on her mouth. She would place on the money on their laps and look directly at them. Holly would just be sitting by their side and wait for them to give her a cookie.
Casi also said that Holly knows the words dollar or money. If they ask their adorable pet where her money is, she would go to her place and show it to them. But she can be quite protective of her cash.
According to Casi, Holly has around 90 dollars, and it just keeps growing. When the dog sees them with money, she comes to them and starts pestering them. She won’t stop or leave until she gets a dollar. And if someone takes her cash, she would do the same.
